‘Power of Life’ is a ceiling mounted light fixture composed of rubber hose, wood, and clay. Presented against a backdrop of a sunrise in a forest scorched by fire, the piece suggests that catastrophic events in life provide a fertile environment for dynamic change. The fixture is adjustable in length from 180-240cm.

‘Power of Life’ rug is made of industrial wool felt cut to the form of a bear skin. The death of one organism provides the nutrients for new life - in this case a suggestion of fresh grass. The rug measures 150cm x 220cm.
